The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is an international private graduate research university in Skolkovo, Russia, a suburb of Moscow. Established in 2011 in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Skoltech has five primary research and education programs, one of which is Space Science and Technology. Skoltech Space Center residing under this program conducts research, education, and innovation activities in the domain of space science and engineering. One of the key research areas of Skoltech Space Center is the analysis and exploitation of space data in solar physics and space weather research to study the origin of the phenomena under investigation, to predict and mitigate space hazards, and to develop advanced space weather products. The main contribution to Solarnet is related to the observational solar physics and advance image analysis, in particular homogenization, calibration, data quality characterization and flare detection in solar images from multi-station ground-based observatories
